Active August is a virtual distance challenge event that is completed throughout the month of August. You can walk, run or ride to raise funds to help fight hunger.

Your participation this August can provide families like Norn’s with opportunities to grow their own food, earn an income and provide food for their children. What an incredible reason to get active this August!

All funds raised by participants are used towards the life-changing work of ADRA both in Australia and overseas with a focus on improving health, creating access to education, increasing livelihoods and responding to disasters.

To log your activity during Active August, you can either use the dashboard on the Active August website or sync your activity tracker.

Setting up a team is easy. You can either set one up through the sign up form or once you have registered and are directed to your dashboard, you can click on "Create a Team." This step will allow you to create a team by choosing a unique team name and a fundraising target.

To join an existing team simply search for a team page, then select the "Join a Team".

You can have as many people join your team as you wish. There are no limits on how many people can participate.

Registering for Active August is free!

Yes, you can! We encourage you to register before the challenge starts so you can share the experience with others, however you can take part in the challenge at any time throughout August.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Anyone who donates online will automatically receive a tax receipt via email.

Share your unique fundraising page URL via social media or email to encourage your friends and family to support or join your team.
