Helping Fight Hunger in Zambia

"Life was hard. Sometimes we would only eat once a day for days at a time."
Mildred is a single mother of four, living in rural Zamia.  Her family ate what she could grow, but it was never enough.  With barely enough food to eat and nothing left over to sell for income, Mildred struggled to provide the basics for her children.
Through an ADRA project, Mildred received cowpeas (black eyed peas), cassava and garlic seeds, and received farming training to help her get the most out of her harvest.
Now, she is growing enough for her children to have three meals per day, and she is able to sell the excess for necessities like soap and school books.
"I have seen the difference in my life because of the things you have brought for us.  Now we have enough to eat - we are not hungry anymore."

We’re getting Active in August for ADRA

We are blessed to have all that we need, and so we want to help ADRA feed the hungry!
Support us as we get active and raise money for ADRA.
